Sample Tour Itineraries

Please find below a sample itinerary for each of our various public tours. The exact meeting point and time, along with the itinerary and other important information will all be confirmed at the point of booking. You are welcome to contact us regarding the itinerary or any other questions for any tour in which you are interested. Please note that tour itineraries are subject to change in the case that one of our partners becomes unavailable.

Brewerism tours are all-inclusive, which means that you get: your guide, samples of beer at each venue, a snack and transportation (where necessary/applicable).

Cheltenham Brewery Tour (walking tour)

Fridays | 14:00-17:00 | 3 stops

The tour meets at Brewhouse & Kitchen in central Cheltenham for a tour and beer tasting.

Next we head (by taxi, included in tour fee) to Prescott Ales to tour their traditional brewhouse, try some of their real ales and enjoy the provenance of a truly local brewery.

Finally we visit DEYA Brewing Company to see a modern style of brewhouse and taste their hoppy American-style beers. We will also check out their excellent taproom which is very popular for a Friday bevvy,

Cheltenham Beery Walking Tour (walking tour)

Saturdays | 12:00-16:00 | 3-4 stops

The tour group meet at the historic Brewery Quarter in central Cheltenham at Brewhouse & Kitchen to tour the on-site microbrewery and learn about the ingredients and process of making beer. This will give you a good foundation for all that you’ll learn over the course of the afternoon.

Depending on availability, our second stop may be the Sandford Park Alehouse, the National CAMRA Pub of the Year for 2015, to check out their fantastic cellar and get up close to traditional British casks and the more widely used kegs.

Next up is Wild Beer Co.’s Wild Beer at Jessop House, the brewery’s first bar/restaurant, to enjoy a beer ‘flight’ (selection of several) matched to delicious canapés. This not only takes the edge off all the booze you’ll have had, but will amaze your taste buds and likely inspire your next dinner party!

Our final stop is the legendary specialist beer and cider retailer, Favourite Beers, which has won multiple national retailer awards. In our cosy corner of the shop we’ll dive deeper into beer styles and chat about the industry’s use of bottles and cans.

Cotswold Brewery & Pub Tour: Cirencester (walking tour)

Fridays | 14:00-17:30 | 1 brewery + 2 pubs

The tour group meets in central Cirencester and we’ll walk together to the first stop, the brilliant microbrewery Corinium Ales, where we’ll have a tour and tasting.

After the brewery tour we’ll walk back to town to an amazing heritage pub, the Marlborough Arms to taste some excellent real ales. At this stop you can choose to enjoy a delicious fish & chip afternoon snack – nom!

Our final stop is the Twelve Bells, another old school real ale pub which used to serve as the taproom for Cirencester’s original brewery next door. You’ll finish the tour in central Cirencester with plenty of time to enjoy another drink before you wander off to find dinner.

Bristol Craft Beer Tour (walking tour)

Saturdays | 12:00-15:30 | 3 stops

We work with a number of breweries and craft beer pubs in Bristol. Below is a sample itinerary, meeting at a location near public transit. Walking distances are up to 15 minutes, otherwise we’ll provide a taxi!

Brewery 1: Arbor Ales. The brewery doesn’t have a taproom and they don’t run their own tours, so join Brewerism for a chance to see where the magic happens!

Brewery 2: Moor Beer. We will tour the brewery and sample a few of their tasty wares in their brilliant, popular taproom.

Brewery 3: New Bristol Brewery. Tucked away near Cabot Circus, this micro is doing some exciting stuff , including launching a new Brewing School, opening a taproom and brewing all of their lovely beers by hand.

Cardiff Craft Beer Tour (walking tour)

Saturdays | 12:00-15:00/16:00 | 3-4 stops

The tour starts in trendy Canton, a neighbourhood to the west of central Cardiff. Meet us at the first stop and we’ll provide transport back to the city.

We’ll meet at Crafty Devil Brewery, a great craft brewer with a fantastic brand, making a range of styles from pale ales to luxurious mint chocolate stouts.

From the brewery we’ll walk 10 minutes to the Crafty Cellar, the brewery’s little taproom, to taste the full range of beers. They also boast a small shop for your to-go beer and merchandise needs!

Nearly next door is one of the UK’s best micropubs: St. Canna’s, set in a wonderful space as comfortable as someone’s front room! Here we’ll try some excellent cask real ales.

Finally we’ll get you back into town to central Cardiff. Some itineraries include an additional stop at a craft beer bar in town for a final tasting and snack.

Gloucester Docks Brewery Tour (walking tour)

Thursdays | 16:30-19:30 | 3 stops

We meet at the excellent Gloucester Brewery in Gloucester’s historic Docks, where we will tour the brewhouse and enjoy several samples in their gorgeous taproom/bottle shop.

Next we head to Brewhouse & Kitchen to tour their small copper microbrewery, try some of their real ales and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of the warm pub.

Finally we visit Tank, a craft beer pub designed by Gloucester Brewery, which features phenomenal brews from all over the UK in both keg and cask. Here we’ll sample a few more beers whilst enjoying a savoury snack.

Minibus tours (below): for private bookings and occasionally may run as a public tour.

Cotswold Microbrewery Tour (minibus tour)

Saturdays | 12:00-17:00 | 3 stops

Board the minibus at the Royal Well Bus Station in central Cheltenham.

Brewery 1: Corinium Ales. The brewery, nicknamed ‘The Dog House’, is tucked away in the Old Kennels of a quintessential English estate. We will tour the brewhouse, hear their story and sample some of their ales.

Cidery: Beard & Sabre Cider Company. We’ll learn about pressing apples and cider production and taste several of their ciders.

Brewery 2: Stroud Brewery. At our final stop we’ll tour the brewery and enjoy a savoury snack alongside our beer samples (to soak up the afternoon’s delights). Stroud also boasts an excellent taproom.

From Stroud Brewery the minibus will drop off in central Cirencester (if requested) and central Cheltenham.

West Gloucestershire Brewery Tour (minibus tour)

Saturdays | 12:00-17:00 | 3 stops

Board the minibus at the Royal Well Bus Station in central Cheltenham.

Brewery 1: Cotswold Lion Brewery. A real ale microbrewery in a charming barn in the countryside near Coberley. We will tour the brewhouse and sample several beers.

Brewery 2: Gloucester Brewery. We will tour the brewery and sample a few of their tasty wares in the gorgeous taproom.

Brewery 3: Hillside Brewery. At our final stop we’ll tour the brewery and event spaces and enjoy a savoury snack alongside our beer samples (to soak up the afternoon’s delights).

From Hillside the minibus will take us all back to central Cheltenham. If you would like to be dropped off in Huntley or Gloucester this can be arranged in advance.
